What makes you laugh? |
I like situation work placed comedy with a twist, like Green Wing, Dinner Ladies and IT Crowd. I like to have my silly moments, so anything as long as it is not too dark! I have to confess that a big reason I fell in love with my husband was because he laughed at my jokes! |
What are your greatest achievements? |
 |
- Cycling in Egypt and raising over £4k for Sir Robert Winston’s Women for Women charity.
- Reaching the peak of Mount Kenya after a three-day climb.
- And, of course, turning RSVP into the best dating agency in the UK!

| What music do you like? |
I love things that touch the soul – The Lark Ascending, Barber’s Adagio for Strings or Song for Athene.
I also like a wider range of pop music: Doobie Brothers; Whispers; James Blunt; ELO.
Whatever it is, I like it when it makes you feel something, sad, happy etc. |
What do you like to read? |
A bit like my taste in music, I like things that transport you away from the present. I love it when I have a book on the go that I just can’t put down. I do particularly enjoy thrillers and detective novels, but I’ll read anything with a good story. Once I get my teeth into a novelist that I like, I do tend to read everything I can by them. Recent discoveries have included Jacqueline Winspear and Andrew Martin.
What’s your perfect day?
A warm day – about 22-26 degrees would be perfect but if not it must be sunny, cold and crisp! I’d get up late, take a long walk, go to the pub for lunch. Walk back to where we are staying for a cream tea late afternoon. When the sun goes down the temperature would fall so we need to light the fire and sit and watch an old movie. Then I’d cook a lovely dinner! I have to say Christmas Day is my perfect day! |
| What’s your favourite film? |
What, only one? I couldn’t choose one, but my favourite films include: Groundhog Day; Philadelphia Story with Cary Grant; His Girl Friday or Brief Encounter. I am, at heart, a romantic, but don’t tell anyone. Although, I do like a good sci-fi too – like Independence Day - I’m a bit of a Trekkie! |
Do you like to travel? |
I’m pretty well travelled. I’ve been to Africa – Kenya; Uganda and Rwanda. I loved exploring Egypt. I loved seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland. I’ve also been whale watching in the Azores. I adore San Francisco and the fantastic coastline to the north. I’d still like to go to the Galapagos, Antarctic and Canada. But I have to say I am rather conscious of polluting the atmosphere by flying these days. But that is okay, because I absolutely love Scotland, so, as long as I can spend some time there, I am pretty happy! |
